Hello there!
I’m Nicole – a mom, wife, photographer and football fanatic.
I’m a photographer based in the Minneapolis / Saint Paul, MN or Twin Cities area specializing in lifestyle and family photography. But you probably already knew that because that’s why you’re here!
When I’m not photographing adorable children and beautiful families, you can find me spending time with my husband and two year old son around the twin cities. We love trying new restaurants (almost impossible with a toddler in tow), visiting the zoo, testing out new playgrounds and visiting ANY pizza farm (have you been? It’s a MUST!).
I’m a Californian at heart (born and raised in San Diego) that moved here 6 years ago with my Minnesota-raised husband. And yes, I am still getting used to the MN winter even after 6 years here. The truth is, I fell in love with Minnesota long before I met my husband. As my dad and I tell everyone “I was raised right” as a Vikings fan. I sobbed along with everyone after the 1998, 2001, 2009 and 2017 season (still fresh wounds there) and will never forget the day Randy Moss was traded to the Raiders. Needless to say, if the Vikings are playing, my calendar is blocked.
I’m laid back but passionate about what I do. I’ll make sure your photos are gorgeous, but I’ll also make sure that they’re an accurate representation of you and your family. I want your session to be fun and relaxed and will make a complete fool of myself and make ridiculous remarks if it makes you feel more comfortable in front of the camera. I’ll give you direction, but I’ll also let natural moments happen, because I want to capture the beauty of a REAL moment – not a perfectly curated moment.
Being the mom of a fiercely independent and fearless toddler, I TOTALLY understand what it’s like to have a child who does not want to participate and rarely sits still. You know what? That’s fine, in fact, it’s adorable. Some of the best photos I’ve taken are of kids ‘misbehaving’ because they’re real.
My goal is to deliver a set of photos that will evoke vivid memories for you of a moment in time that can never be duplicated. We only get 18 years with our children in our homes. 18 summers, 18 birthdays, 18 halloween costumes. I want to help you capture those moments so you’ll remember them long after they’ve left for college.
